Toyota has launched the 2021 Innova Crysta in India. The facelifted model gets visual upgrades and a host of new features. The MPV starts at INR 16.26 Lakh (ex-showroom) for the base model and goes as high as INR 24.33 Lakh (ex-showroom) for the range-topping variant. The new Innova Crysta will come in GX, VX, and ZX grades.
On the outside, the Innova Crysta facelift gets a slightly larger front grille with chrome highlights, a sharper front bumper design with a blacked-out chin section and faux silver skid plate, redesigned fog lamps, and new diamond-cut alloy wheels. The rear gets the same prominent hexagonal section.
On the inside, the most significant change has to be the addition of a new touchscreen infotainment system that provides Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Toyota is also providing optional accessories like customers real-time vehicle tracking, geofencing, last parked location, and many more on the MPV. Similarly, on the safety front, the MPV gets seven airbags, Vehicle Stability Control, and Hill Start Assist, along with the addition of a new front clearance sonar (with MID display) to prevent collisions while parking in tight spaces.
Toyota is offering the 2021 Innova Crysta with two engine options - a 2.7L petrol motor that produces 164 bhp and 245 Nm and is mated to either a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic, and a 2.4L diesel mill that churns out 148 bhp and 343 Nm with the 5-speed MT or 360 Nm with the 6-speed automatic.
